This refers to the server side of an application and everything that communicates between the database and the browser. This primarily focuses on how the site works, also making updates and changes in addition to monitoring functionality of the site.
The process of taking physical and software preventative measures to protect the network infrastructure from unauthorized access, misuse, malfunction, modification, destruction, or improper disclosure, which creates a secure platform for computers, users, and programs to perform the permitted functions within a secure environment.
